Responsibilities

Use of AutoCAD software to create Fire Alarm layouts, as-builts, and riser diagrams. 
Create product submittals for permits and AHJ approval. 
Create battery and voltage drop calculations for fire alarm systems. 
Support sales staff by reviewing plans and specifications for technical accuracy and best practices. 
Communicate with the project managers and customers for status updates of assigned jobs. 
Ensure AutoCAD files are kept organized and titled alike. 
Occasionally perform site visits to measure and sketch building floorplans. 
Perform other related duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required 
2+years of relevant experience
Ability to operate present version of AutoCAD proficiently.  
Knowledge of blueprints and project specifications is a plus. 
Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills. 
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines. 
Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word.
