This role is responsible for converting inspection-identified deficiencies into approved repair work. This role focuses on quoting, customer follow-up, and closing service and repair opportunities generated from fire and life safety inspection reports.

The Service Sales Representative owns the accurate and timely quoting of deficiencies identified during inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) and other service-call activities, across multiple fire and life safety service lines. You turn field-identified deficiencies into clear, code-referenced, correctly priced quotes and issue them quickly so the customer can approve and the work can be scheduled.
Sitting at the intersection of the field (inspectors and technicians), estimating, and the customer, you protect life-safety compliance and capture revenue by ensuring no deficiency goes un-quoted and no quote stalls without follow-up.
Hourly Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 / hour

Responsibilities
Deficiency Quoting (Primary Focus)
- Review ITM reports, translate identified deficiencies into accurate, code-referenced quotes.
- Quote submittal across multiple service lines, including Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, Extinguisher, Backflow, Fire Pump, Emergency Lighting, Kitchen Hood, and Clean Agent.
- Ensure every quote is complete and correct — scope description, priority/severity, pictures (as available), pricing, applicable code reference, and required timeline.
- Quote quickly to minimize cycle time from deficiency identification to quote issued.
- Maintain a high capture rate — quote the maximum possible percentage of identified deficiencies so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Coordinate with inspectors, technicians, and estimating to clarify scope, site access, and parts on larger or complex deficiencies.
- Monitor balance and age of outstanding quotes, keep the pipeline current and drive a strong close rate.
- Prioritize life-safety and code-critical deficiencies for the fastest quoting turnaround.
- Provide the Account Management (ISAM) team with the context they need to follow up effectively — scope, pricing, decision-makers, and timelines; the ISAM team owns daily follow-up outreach on outstanding quotes.
- Educate customers on the code and compliance implications of each deficiency and the risks of deferral.
- Serve as a responsive point of contact for quote questions, revisions, and status (within one hour).
- Partner with operations and scheduling, convert approved quotes to scheduled work, seamless handoff.
- Route larger or complex scopes to estimating, and flag portfolio-level opportunities to the Account Management team.
- Document all quotes, revisions, and customer interactions in the CRM for continuity and accurate pipeline tracking.
- Track quote volume, capture rate, close rate, cycle time, and outstanding-quote balance on a daily basis.
- Provide daily and weekly pipeline updates to leadership and flag at-risk or aging quotes.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years in inside sales, quoting/estimating, service coordination, or customer service
- Industry experience quoting service and repair work across one or more of the following service lines is strongly preferred: Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, Extinguisher, Backflow, Fire Pump, Emergency Lighting, Kitchen Hood, and Clean Agent
- Experience working in ServiceTrade or a similar service management platform
- Ability to read inspection/ITM reports and understand deficiencies and code requirements is an asset
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com, other CRM systems, and the Microsoft Office suite
- Highly organized, accurate, and deadline-driven, comfortable managing a high volume of daily quoting
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with field/inspection, estimating, operations, scheduling, and accounting teams
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
