Crime Intervention Alarm, an Altus Fire & Life Safety company, located in York, PA is looking for an In-House Security Systems Technician to join our team! The In-House Systems Technician is primarily responsible for programming and configuring security equipment including access control systems, surveillance cameras, and alarm components.

Responsibilities
- Program and configure access control, intrusion alarm, video surveillance, fire protection and related security equipment.
- Configure network settings, communications, and system parameters according to project requirements.
- Verify programmed equipment through functional testing and quality assurance before deployment.
- Create and maintain programming documentation, system records, and installation information.
- Troubleshoot programming and configuration issues during system preparation.
- Research technical documentation and manufacturer resources to resolve unfamiliar problems.
- Ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule to support installation timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure systems are prepared according to project specifications.
- Continuously learn new products, software platforms, and programming methods as technologies evolve.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong technical aptitude and an interest in computers, electronics, networking, or technology.
- Basic understanding of computer networking (IP addressing, routers, switches, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with electronic security systems, low-voltage systems, IT, or electronics is preferred but not required.
- Ability to quickly learn new software and hardware platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Windows and standard computer applications.
- Technical certifications or relevant education are a plus.
- Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to take ownership of assigned projects.
