Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and configuration of sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and servicing of existing sprinkler systems to ensure ongoing functionality and code compliance.
- Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs of sprinkler systems.
- Support programming tasks for fire protection systems under supervision.
- Respond to emergency service calls as part of the support team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure the timely submission of system test reports and technician work orders.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate services and updates.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Present a professional and courteous demeanor on all job sites.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational/technical school training preferred.
- National and Local Fire Alarm Code knowledge preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods
- Capable of performing tasks at a computer workstation for prolonged durations
- Physically able to install system hardware and wiring when required
- Able to walk up and down stairs in various facility environments
- Must be able to lift, shift, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Sufficient visual and hearing acuity to inspect, diagnose, and assist in the repair of equipment
