Responsibilities
- Inspecting and tagging fire extinguishers, fire hosses, and other fire suppression equipment in accordance with NFPA and local fire codes at client locations.
- Perform hydrostatic testing and recharging of fire extinguishers as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance on inspection equipment and vehicles
- Refilling and replacing damaged or expired units
- Documenting service logs and inspection reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections and maintenance performed.
- Advising clients on compliance and safety standards, providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Provide recommendations for replacement or repairs of fire suppression equipment and systems as necessary.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Vocational or technical school degree preferred
- Certification in extinguisher servicing desirable
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and NFPA 10 standards
- Experience with fire extinguisher inspections and maintenance would be an asset.
- Valid driver’s license
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
